18 Researchers from Bilkent Receive Funding under the TÜBİTAK 1001 Program

The TÜBİTAK 1001 Scientific and Technological Research Projects Funding Program supports projects conducted at universities and research centers that aim to generate new knowledge and to develop solutions to scientific or technological challenges.

According to the results of the 2025 2nd call, a total of 18 researchers from Bilkent University and the National Nanotechnology Research Center (UNAM) have been awarded funding under the TÜBİTAK 1001 Program. This achievement once again demonstrates Bilkent’s strong position in scientific research and its commitment to a multidisciplinary research approach.

The faculty members and postdoctoral researchers who have been awarded funding within the scope of the 2025 2nd Call are as follows: Arif Bülent Özgüler (EE), Ausaf Ahmed Farooqui (PSYC), Bahar Yetiş (IE), Barbaros Çetin (ME), Başak İnce (POLS), Bilal Tanatar (PHYS), Burcu Ayşen Ürgen (PSYC), Cihan Okay (MATH), Elif Küzeci Erol (LAW), Engin Durgun (UNAM), Ergin Atalar (EE), Fehmi Tanrısever (MAN), Gökhan Yıldırım (MATH), Ilyas Chachoua (MBG), İlker Kalender (ES), Kemal Yıldız (ECON), Mehmet Fatihcan Atay (MATH) and Ülkü Gürler (IE).
