Following the scientific evaluation process for the 2025 call of the TÜBİTAK 2236-A Co-Funded Brain Circulation Scheme 3 (CoCirculation3) Programme, 51 project proposals were selected for funding, including five projects hosted by Bilkent University.
Supported under the European Commission’s Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) COFUND programme, CoCirculation3 is an international mobility programme that supports experienced researchers in conducting high-quality research at academic and non-academic institutions in Türkiye.
The projects selected for funding at Bilkent University are:
• “Chip-scale Laser ARchitectures for Multilevel InTegrated Photonic Functionality (CLARITY)”, to be carried out by Dr. Muhammed Abu Taher under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Onur Tokel at the Department of Physics, Bilkent University
• “ToP-SEE – Tunable Quantum Phases in Layered Topological Materials for Sustainable Energy and Electronics”, to be carried out by Dr. Saeed Abedinpour under the supervision of Prof. Bilal Tanatar at the Department of Physics, Bilkent University
• “FLINT – Finite-Blocklength Communication with Feedback: Bridging Information-Theoretic Limits and Low-Complexity Practical Codes”, to be carried out by Dr. Recep Can Yavaş under the supervision of Prof. Tolga M. Duman at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Bilkent University
• “The Role of Mixed-Character Dislocations in Enhancing Plasticity in Magnesium: An Atomistic Investigation”, to be carried out by Dr. Masoud Rahbar Niazi under the supervision of Dr. Orçun Koray Çelebi at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Bilkent University
• “On-Chip Rapid Assessment of Surface Charge Properties of Bacterial Single Cells Using Integrated Spoof-Plasmon Based Microwave Cytometry Set-up”, to be carried out by Dr. Zeeshan under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Selim Hanay at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Bilkent University
We congratulate our researchers and academic supervisors whose projects have been selected for funding under the 2025 call of the TÜBİTAK 2236-A CoCirculation3 Programme and wish them a successful project period.
