Bilkent University’s Success at the 2025 Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA)-GEBİP Awards

December 10, 2025 Written by ttoweb

The 2025 TÜBA Awards have been announced within the program comprising the TÜBA International Academy Awards, the TÜBA-GEBİP (Outstanding Young Scientist) Awards, and the TÜBA-TESEP (Scientific Authorship) Awards. The awards will be presented on 23 December 2025 at the TÜBA-TÜBİTAK Science Awards Ceremony.

The TÜBA-GEBİP Award is a prestigious program that, since 2001, aims to recognize “young scientists” who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in the natural, engineering, social and health sciences, to support the development of their research groups, and to promote scientific production in Turkey. Under the program, awardees receive financial support each year for three years; additionally, graduate students of the awarded researchers are provided with scholarship support.

This year the TÜBA-GEBİP Award has been granted to Dr. Emre Ozan Polat from Department of Physics and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Naci Saldı from Department of Mathematics. Our researchers have received the 2025 GEBİP Awards for their exceptional accomplishments and strong scientific excellence.

We congratulate them and wish them continued success
