Coordinated by the Turkish Employers’ Association of Metal Industries (MESS) and established in collaboration with Bilkent University, Istanbul Technical University (ITU), ITU Teknopark, Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ISO), ISO ETP, TÜBİTAK BİLGEM and Istanbul Development Agency (İSTKA), the “AI EDIH Turkey” consortium was granted support and entitled to join the European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) network with its project titled “AI EDIH Türkiye: AI-Enabled Manufacturing for Twin Transition”. AI EDIH Türkiye will be supported for 48 months with an approximate budget of 2 million Euros.
The project aims to establish a European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) to support the digital transformation processes of Turkish SMEs with low levels of digitalization.
The “One-Stop Shop” system to be set up under the project will become a comprehensive support mechanism for EDIH services. It will support the development of R&D and innovation capacities of SMEs through testing and prototyping workshops. Additionally, the project will provide easy access to financial support and services aimed at enhancing skills and capacity in human resources.
