The Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) is an initiative that aims to support cutting-edge interdisciplinary research that addresses the global issues faced by developing countries.
The Networking Grants are broadly themed and the main activities that will be supported through these grants include hosting collaborative meetings, visits or workshops. A proportion of the grant can focus on building pilot data or conducting archival research or fieldwork.
Proposal should seek to support the development of;
• Equitable Access to Sustainable Development (including agriculture, health, energy, education, water)
• Sustainable Economies and Societies
• Human Rights, Good Governance and Social Justice
This scheme is targeted at experienced researchers who are looking to form new international collaborations. The maximum amount available is £25,000.
Applications should focus on building a collaborative network and therefore should be submitted jointly by a lead overseas researcher from a developing country and a lead researcher based in the UK.
Deadline for applications: 8th August 2018.
Projects must start between 1st January 2019 and 31st March 2019, and the funding will last for one year.
